Our Doctrinal Statement

1) The Bible

The entire bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is of plenary authority. God's Word is providentially preserved, being identifiable for the English speaking people in the Authorized King James Version (KJV); an inerrant translation of the proper text. As such, we believe it to be unique and authoritative, teaching from it and relying on it without altering it. (II Timothy 3:16, Matthew 5:18)

2) The Godhead

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (I John 5:7)

3) The Person of Christ

Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin as the one true God-man. (Romans 1:3-4, Phillipians 2:6-9)

4) Depravity of Man

All men born as the sons of Adam are dead in trespasses and sins and therefore unable by their own wisdom or strength to produce anything pleasing to God. (Ephesians 2:1-3, Romans 3:9-12, I Corinthians 1:18-31)

5) Eternal Judgement

God's perfect justice will send anyone without a perfect life (having never sinned) to "the lake of fire" which is the "second death" --a real, literally burning and eternal place of torment where the unbelieving pay for their sins for all eternity. (Romans 6:23, Luke 16:19-31, Revelation 20:12-15, Mark 9:43-48)

6) Salvation

Salvation from God's wrath upon sin is a free gift, received once, personally by faith (apart from works) in Christ's death on the cross as a complete and total payment for all of one's sins. (Romans 3:24-26)

7) The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit baptizes or places every believer (the moment they trust in Christ) into living union with the Lord Jesus Christ, eternally sealing him or her until the day of redemption. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

8) The Church

God has been forming the Church the Body of Christ ever since He revealed the gospel of grace and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the Mystery, to and through the apostle Paul--our Apostle. The Body of Christ is to be distinguished from the church which is Israel. Both find their hope in Christ, Israel in an earthly, Davidic Kingdom and the Body of Christ in the Heavenly places. (Romans 16:25-26, Colossians 1:23-27, Romans 11:3, I Timothy 2:5-9, Matthew 16:18)

9) The Message of the Church

The Church has been entrusted with the "Ministry of Reconciliation" through the "Preaching of the Cross." We're "...to make all men see what is the fellowship of the Mystery," God's program today. (I Thessalonians 2:4, I Corinthians 1:18, Acts 20:24, Ephesians 3:9)

10) The Rapture

We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, an event preceding and allowing for the prophetic program to culminate in the second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ and His messianic Kingdom. (I Thessalonians 1:10, II Thessalonians 2:1-12)
